Rejected at Claremont McKenna, so Reed is my last hope for an LAC (wishing I had applied to more)
They posted on the admission tumblr page that decisions will be “out by April 1st,” which isn’t any less vague than before

Reed is my last realistic school I’ll hear from and I was way pumped up for it my junior year. When I found out they’re not need blind (and my need is HUGE) I hyped myself down but somehow I’ve come right back around to where I was. This wait is awful
Yeah, I found out they were need-blind after I applied to, and according to their NPC I’d be getting full tuition-ish. I feel like that, the terrible SAT subject scores I sent, and the 42% increase in applications this year will be the reason I’m not getting in.
Update via Reed’s Tumblr account! “All applicants will receive their notification by April 1st.”
So they will either email up to that date or letters have maybe already been sent out. Just a guess.
Reed will be my last hope. Come on…
They pick the most desirable group need-blind. Only after they finished the most desirable group and the next group, they become need-aware. So don’t lose hope even though you need lots of aid!!
NYU decisions are out now… maybe Reed will follow them soon?
I asked the Office of Financial Aid if the financial aid offer would come with the letter, and this is what they said, “Good morning,
The Admission Office will be sending out decision letters in the next few days, along with a financial aid letter indicating the process of checking on a tentative financial aid award.”
So I guess it will be around April 1st.
In fear of sounding like everyone else, I AM SO SICK OF WAITING! come on Reed you’re killing me! Fingers crossed they send an e-mail out first
