Regent's Scholar, Are You Coming to UCI?

If you have received the regent's scholarship or have been invited to join the CHP from UCI, or both, and you have also admitted to other colleges, are you going to attend UCI this fall? What are your options? How do you make your decisions?

I got regent's and CHP from UCI, regent's and Honors from UCD, and admitted to UCSD, UCLA, and UCB, but have not made up my mind yet. My major is Bio and want to go to medical school. Would like to hear your opinions.

Thanks.

i got regents and chp, but i highly doubt that i'll be going to uci. there are far too many things that i dislike about it (too close to home, too many people from my hs). i got into all of the other uc's i applied to (ucb, ucla, ucsd, ucsb) and will most likely be going to ucsb, which is better for my major (chemE) without being too competitive (as ucb would be).

if you're doing bio, ucsd has the better program, but it might be easier to get a good gpa (and thus get into med school) at uci.

The success rate of CHP graduates getting in to medical school is very impressive. You should write them an email and ask them for some stats on that...ask for Ryan Lombardini. They can probably tell you how many applied, how many got in, and what school those people ultimately attended.

It's hard to pass up a free education, especially at a top 10 public school like Irvine. Find out all the facts before you decide.

alicantekid,

Who is Ryan Lombardini? What is his email adderss? Are you attending UCI?

Thanks.

He's the director/main administrator of the Campusewide Honors Program. Alicantekid is a UCI/CHP Alum.
