How and when to get the nomination for their regents scholarship? And when will you end up winning the scholarship?
You have to apply for the regents at davis. I believe the application window opens in Oct. and you need a letter of recommendation, as I recall. Google Davis regents for the particulars.
@linkdyk8 It says “transfer applicants must have a GPA of 3.80 or higher and must submit an online letter of recommendation to the Undergraduate Scholarship Office between October 1, 2015–January 6, 2016.”
Does that mean we are allowed to use our Fall Grades when it comes to the GPA?
Hmmm, good question. I’m not sure. If you think it will be a 3.8 by end of fall, I’d submit at the beginning of January or late December when you know fall grades. However, it may be they mean by end of summer. I don’t know. Sorry.
@lindyk8 It’s cool. I just emailed them right now, so I’ll just wait and see what they have to say regarding it.
Post what they tell you. Thx for doing it. :-*
I will don’t worry.
Thank you all.
@lindyk8 I think you can use your fall grades. This was their exact words to me:
Dear Christian,
Sorry it took us so long to reply. When looking at the Regent Scholarship we will look at whatever GPA the Admissions Office provides us with. If you have further questions on what goes into that GPA I would recommend contacting their office. Their phone number is (530) 752-2971 or their website is http://admissions.ucdavis.edu/index.cfm.
Sincerely,
Breanne King
@selimpride, that sounds good. So, yeah, I believe you have until early January to apply.
