Hi guys,
I submitted my UC applications in November 2018 and waiting to hear from them.
I am transferring from CCC, and my current GPA is 3.93.
Will finish IGECT in spring 2019, but I am taking English and Math this semester (I don’t know this could be negative toward my application…)
I have some work experiences in law firms and corporations, but I am older than typical applicants. (I’m 30).
I think my essays were solid, but you never know.
I applied to UCB, UCLA, Davis, Irvine, SD, and Riverside for UCs and a couple of private schools in the East Coast.
Anyways, I was offered a regent scholarship from Davis last week, and I’ve been wondering, is this a good thing toward my chance of getting admitted?
Thanks.
Have you been offered a chance to apply for Regents since Regent scholars are notified of their acceptance at time of admission? UCD is the only campus where you have to apply for Regents so you have not received the scholarship yet.
Oh yeah, my mistake, I was offered to apply for the regent scholarship. Not offered haha.
Anyways, is this mean anything? Is it a positive sign for the admission? Or just offer to students with high gpa?

Getting the invite to apply for Regents is a very good sign that you will be accepted. Best of luck.
The UC Davis website indicates that there is no separate regents scholarship application. Is it different for transfer students vs entering freshman? Just curious as we are patiently waiting to hear from them for class of 2023.
@aggiemomtobe: Yes, Freshman do not have to apply for Regents but Transfers are given an invite email to apply.
