How and when do you get notified for this? (in response to someone's post that notification of regents implies admission) What do you get?

Regents @ UCLA is pretty sweet. I think (for those w/o financial aid) it is $5500/yr, guaranteed/preferential housing, preferential class enrollment, an advisor, membership in the Regents Association, and a bunch of other benefits I don't even remember. You are notified if you are in consideration for Regents in February (I think). Then you write a really short essay (200 words). Turn in the essay, they review your app & you get a letter in March letting you know whether you got Regents or not. Actually, I think that letter comes WITH the official admission letter. So what I meant was that notification that you are in consideration for Regents implies admission (b/c, for UCLA, they claim only the top 2% of applicants receive the Regents app invitation, or something like that)

The only benefits that matter are recognition, $ and guaranteed parking (although you still have to pay for the expensive thing). If you're really desperate for parking though, work for parking services and they'll guarantee you parking as well which is what my friend has been doing.
