always faithful - it is gone. it has been off for several weeks now

...i got in EA, and seriously, just try to forget what day it is, eat lots of chocolate, and remember to breathe. That way it'll just be an awesome surprise [or a bad one i guess].

No, they will not email you if you live in the US, it's not available online, and getting it a day later or earlier will not affect the decision itself.

Good luck!

This is take two for people, like myself, who got deferred. Here it comes again :-) Crosses fingers for his future love

Umm, bad news, folks: I checked out the blog myself, and here's what it had to say.
"3) The projected mail date is now a vague "late March." If an applicant could please dissuade people on College Confidential and other discussion boards from getting too excited about March 22, that would be wonderful. We never know what will happen. This is Chicago; we could have a huge snowstorm on our mail date and mail a few days later."

Don't shoot the messenger! I'm just following explicit orders to "dissuade" you and mercilessly dash your anticipatory dreams :-P

Where did this fixation on March 22 come from?

Past experience has shown that U of C just wants to beat the ivies etc. by a few days. This would imply mailing at most a week in advance, and probably less.

Someone already beat you to posting that date and the information from the blog, sorry HopesSilverLight!

Seems that you're the second messenger (Cyclic AMP anyone :-P).
Kudos to anyone who caught the biology pun, hah.

Ha! What a relief, I'll be spared :)

That's one way of thinking about it.

I'm certain this question has been asked before- but pardon me, I'm trying to avoid CC because it makes the stress ten times worse-
Does Chicago mail likely letters?

HopesSilverLight: yeah i just read that too, but still snow storms wouldnt delay emails theoretically speaking... im international student, so hope i dont get any email at all on the 22nd

To Pyramid: No Chi-town does not send likely letters. You would've heard about it if they did. Plus, that's really sneaky. Chicago's better than that.

this sorta makes it better though.... It comes when it comes, and there's not a darned thing u can do to kno any more.

they should put it online. i never understood why they dont

...because, it's more special when you get it in the mail.

and it is, it's worth the wait.

well, if you get accepted

OMG!!! Two more days!!! OMG, OMG. I'm so nervous.

2 more days??? why 2 more days??? i thought the 22nd thing is cancelled.

if you've been receiving positive feedback from your adcom about your application is that good news or is it just b/c she feels sorry for you and doesn't want to hurt your feelings?

You got feedback from your adcom? I don't think that's typical at all. What region are you in? Who's your counselor?
