Regular Decision Applicants

Anyone hear anything new from them lately about decisions

I just got an email outlining their plan for sending out letters next week. In the email it said that this shouldn’t be taken as a sign of potential acceptance, so if it hasn’t shown up in your inbox for whatever reason don’t panic.

"You’ve worked hard on your college applications and now you’re waiting anxiously for a response. We are in the final stages of preparation to release our admit decisions for the Class of 2018, so you’ll have your answer from us soon.

Just to be clear, this update is being sent to all of our 15,000 applicants and should not be taken to mean a notice of an admission decision, but simply an update on our expected mailing schedule.

Mailing Schedule Overview

We will begin mailing all of our admissions decision letters to students with U.S. postal addresses starting next week. The volume of applications received requires several days to process and prepare for mailing. How quickly you receive your admission decision depends largely on where you live.

We email decisions only to students who have addresses outside of the U.S. to ensure timely receipt, and so that we may schedule visits with them abroad to answer any questions they might have. So if you have friends living outside the U.S., it is possible that you might learn of their admission decision ahead of your own.

Decisions for students within the U.S. will not be released over the phone, or via email. If you have not received any notification by April 1, please feel free to reach out to your regional representative.

We know we’ve asked a lot of you over the last couple of months, but we have just one more favor to ask. If you have already made a commitment to another college or university, could you please let us know today?

Thank you,

i got the same email!

Same

Please inform us of any acceptances you all receive.

I heard today that they are most likely sending them in the mail monday which means i could get a decision on tuesday! Thats like ONLY 5 days!

So would that mean that email acceptance/rejections (for those of us living overseas) could come in as early as tuesday too! wow that is soon

I can’t wait! We’ve been waiting for this for months!

@Heycall123 just wondering, where did you hear that they were sending them out monday?

We were all mailed a letter a while ago (maybe a month ago) indicating that they will start mailing the letters the week of the seventeenth, which starts on Monday.

I’m a Transfer student, applied on Feb 27 got my mail today!
So happy!!!

Congrats!

i heard when I went to preview day in february and I went to a special seniors session with one of the people in charge of admissions and they said they would send them out the 17th.

Well make sure to inform us when you get one. Not only will it tell us to expect one soon but it will be beneficial information for future applicants as well.

@singitbrookieg I never got that letter? Could that be because I live overseas so I will receive my decision via email

@summerAus it says online that international students get emails everyone else gets letters in the mail. So yours would be through email

If you live overseas, I would expect to receive everything by email. Be sure to check your junk mail, though, because not everything they sent to me ended up in my inbox!

Has anyone received an email from them saying “Good new is on the way”? I heard that Early Decision applicants recieved this message.

@singitbrookieg it says online that RD applicants won’t receive emails that’s why they alerted us to the date letters would be sent through a letter

Alright. I wonder how long mail will take to get to where I live in south east virginia!
