Regular decision, Early results?

I originally opened my admission letter on my phone, so I didn’t realize that I had gotten the scholarship until two days later. That was an even better surprise :)

And I don’t think the acceptances are rolling. I think they just picked a few Honors Program candidates from the RD pile. I sent in my application on the very last day available.

did any of you guys who are finding out early send in your midyear transcripts?
i applied Nov 12 so I’m guessing I didn’t make honors and theyre waiting to see my grades before they make their decision?

nah check out xnamelessx post.
accepted recently but not into honors or scholarships.

I didn’t send in my midyear transcripts… Northeastern doesn’t require them, only final grades.

They want “senior year first quarter grades and midterm grades”

When they say midterm do they mean the midterm test grade? Or the actual class grade? Because I didn’t do well on my AP midterm exams …

It means your mid-year transcripts. I know that they don’t want them if you have already been admitted, but for those who haven’t heard back yet, I am not sure if they want them or not.

I got accepted early to Northeastern, found out on Feb 3 (applied RD) and am super excited and confused at the same time cuz I got accepted before ma SAt grades came out and it was the first time i was taking it. But i realized tht they use CAPE grades for intl students.

Which is good but i didn’t get into honors or any scholarship. So do you think that since my results came out and i submitted them along with my mid-year grades, will they consid me for ascholarship or honors…or is it tooo late.

GPA- 3.7
SAT- 1850
SAT II Biology- 650
SAT II Chemistry - 690

Well, not sure how the international student thing works, but based on your stats as you post them, not sure they would be at honors level. You would need SAT’s above 2000 with possibly a “weighted” GPA of closer to 4.0… ??? I also have read on threads that internationals might get less merit aid… again, not sure. I do know that my D had a weighted 4.0+ and 1950 SAT’s: got some merit $$$, but not honors.

Someone else might know more- just thought I’d respond… :)

also will say that NU must have it’s own formula… as not all HS’s are the same, they have some formula where they take GPA, equate it to the curriculum the student has taken at a particular school and add the SAT’s and come up with a #. Based on where you fall in their formula and what school within the University you apply to and are admitted to decides what if any merit $$ you get and whether or not you get into honors.

just sayin, that is what I’ve gather over the past 3-4 months of monitoring this site…

Oh, and don’t forget to check your applicant status a few weeks after you first get decisions. I got my acceptance a couple weeks ago but I randomly checked today and it told me I had received the Dean’s scholarship… which had totally not been there before. So check!

Can i ask wat were your stats? and congratz on your scholarship!!!

keeping my fingers crossed for mine!!!

Chobap… Same thing happened to me! I was excited to get in and into the Honors Program, then a few days later realized I had gotten the Dean’s Scholarship!

Chobap… did you get a notification that ur portal has been updated to show that you received the scholarship or did u just log onto it one day and see it?

Sorry for the late reply! Yeah, I just randomly logged in and saw that I had it, no notifications at all.
