Hi,

The deadline for all five of the universities I'm applying to is January 1st, and I have two SAT Subject Test scores that are ready to go already. But I have a November SAT Reasoning Test score that I'm not too thrilled about, and am hoping my December one is better, so I was thinking about waiting until December 20th (this is when the December SAT results come out) to send all my scores at once to save money. Is this a bad idea? All of my universities accept score reports electronically, which means it will take 1-2 weeks (according to the College Board) to receive my scores, and if I were to send my Subject Test + Reasoning Test scores all at the same time on the 20th, I would be giving them 12 days to send my scores on time. Is this too risky? Should I already send the Subject Test scores I have and rush report my December Reasoning Test score?

Thank you! All help would be appreciated!

no, just send them now. you wont save any money and even if you do, it’s not worth the risk. where exactly are you applying?

Thanks. But if i sent the Subject Test scores now, I would have to spend 55 dollars and 55 dollars again when I send my Reasoning Test score, whereas I would only have to spend 55 dollars to send them all at the same time on the 20th. Still not worth it? I know I’m being stingy over here, but I just want to save money if I can.
I’m applying to five Ivies, btw.

You say that the schools’ deadlines are January first, but often time they accept other information past that date. At that date, most colleges just want your common app, your supplement, recommendations from teachers, and any stuff from your guidance counselor. A lot of the schools I am applying to have a later deadline for standardized test scores, often times near the end of January or in February. You should look into this type of info for the schools you are applying to, and if that isn’t successful try getting in touch with an admissions officer from the school.

Thank you! All of the universities I’m applying to accept the January SAT Test score as their last. Should I take this as an indication that they will accept my scores, even if they’re around 2 or three days late? It’s just that I haven’t gotten many replies from admissions officers in the past, and I don’t feel like waiting around for their answers… :P
