Reilly Visitation Program

I just received an invitation to the Reilly Visitation Program coming up at the end of February, and I am super excited. I definitely didn't expect to be invited. Is anyone else going to be there? Also, is there anyone on here who went to this event in the past and can tell me a little more about it? I was just wondering a little more about the schedule and all of the events that take place. Did you enjoy it and would you recommend going? Thanks!

I received an invitation today as well and I’ll most likely be going!

I really wanted to get invited… Maybe my invitation is lost in the mail? Haha probably not because i suck

goirish, jkcjm, and anyone else who’s received the letters: where do you live in the US? I’m just curious because i’m from connecticut and wondering if I were lucky enough to get invited that maybe the letter is taking longer to get to me

i live in northern new jersey and received the letter on the 24th. who knows, the mail could be messed up due to the holidays.

Letter arrived in Texas on Christmas eve.

Yeah, I received for the visit on Christmas Eve but that does not mean it took some letters more time to get there, especially with the Holiday mail. Good luck to any others and I look forward to learning about others who get accepted and plan on attending with me!

I live in central MN and also received mine on Christams Eve.

It looks like I never got one. Looks like 2320 and subject tests of 800/780 doesn’t cut it

Don’t get too upset. I heard that the Reilly program is for science students. Perhaps ND thinks that they need to recruit harder in science and engineering. ;)

My daughter was also invited to attend and is interested in Engineering.

Are any of you invited to the Reilly weekend also your HS nominee for the Yusko Hesburgh?

Yes, I was invited and also applied for the HY scholarship.

Same here. I was nominated for the HY scholarship and am attending the Engineering Open House and RVP

Just sent in all of my info. I am officially signed up for the Reilly visit. So excited to see the campus and meet all of you!

Did anyone else get there travel info yet? I will be flying into South Bend from Minneapolis with a layover in Detroit. It would be awesome if some of us were traveling together.

I didn’t receive any letter about this.
I had a 2360 and a 35. What stats were needed to qualify for this?

I don’t think that there was any specific scores that you had to meet to be invited. At least that is what I understood from the letter I received. It sounded like they invited the students who they thought had the best overall stats/application. It said “Chosen from among the top 1% of our applicant pool, Reilly invitees demonstrate an impressive academic record, intellectual curiosity, strong leadership skills, and dedication to extracurricular activities.”

^^That’s the impression I have. My objective stats are good, but not perfect (1570, 2240 SAT , 3.97 UW GPA) and I got an invitation. Then again, I’m a girl interested in chemical engineering, so maybe they focused on recruiting in that area.

goirish17 - I just got my travel info! I’m coming from NJ (Newark), also with a layover in Detroit. Looks like we might be on the same plane to South Bend!
