<p>Maybe you should criticize the patriarchy instead of the women who are oppressed by its beauty standards… it doesn’t matter if UCLA is a “looks-oriented” school or not - that’s a really offensive and really ignorant topic to write about.</p>

<p>Don’t worry about it. The readers probably just didn’t like your essay(s) for some random reason. You still have a decent chance at Berkeley, and you already have pretty good options.</p>
<p>I thought you were supposed to write what is good about yourself, not about what is wrong with others. Maybe that’s why? They wish for positive thinkers rather than critiques?</p>
