I would call them anyways. I don’t see how you wouldn’t get in. Your math scores are really high.
My son was admitted, and has a high SAT, 2230 (750 math), but his Math II was lower (730). However, he was admitted to pre-industrial design. He applied to engineering for some other Cal State and UCs, though. Not sure he’ll do so well based on what you experienced.
For the eligibility index calculation only Math and CR are considered. I think OP should call admissions and ask why they were denied. Based on the Stats posted, OP should have been accepted.
I essentially got waitlisted, as they told me to apply for their BEACH Pathways Program. This is kind of upsetting because CSULB was supposed to be one of my safety schools. I was pretty sure I’d get in, especially because I got into LMU and was admitted and recommended by UCR to apply for their honors program.
I don’t know why I applied to long beach state for aeronautical engineering. This school along with sdsu are known mainly for their business programs not aeronautics.
I might get in but after reading your post I might not.
@billyishot That’s crazy… I’m taking the last of my pre-reqs too, which is basically the same as yours (Accounting, Economics, and Business Law)… Are you transferring with a degree? Or an AS-T degree? You should def appeal!
@billyishot yeah you can call them up and ask why you were rejected. Maybe you miscalculated something or forgot something or they overlooked something. You can always appeal your application.
@billyishot It’s not a matter of “why did so and so get in and not me,” because that will sound immature…just stick to your case and ask if anything was missing from your file because you had really wanted to get in, you love the school. Stick to the positive and your own case.
