Rejected from top schools

<p>I guess Im kinda venting but Im also wondering if anyone else has had a similar experiance.
I have been hearing back from schools and although I've gotten into some places but no where I can envision myself going, and no where where I would feel like I wasnt settling.
Does anyone else feel like theyve worked for years for nothing?
And for all those who think Im over estimating my own abilities please tell me here are my stats</p>

<p>ACT: 33
GPA: 4.4
APs Taken: 11 (Sophomore: Euro and Bio, Junior: Calc AB, Physics B, Lit, Econ Macro, Senior: Calc BC, Stats, Lang, Econ Micro)
SATIIs: Bio M: 800 Math II: 780
ECs: Four years of club and varsity soccer, Chair of a youth run food pantry (serves over 500 people a month),ASB VP, Founder and President of a Company that sold Disaster Preperation Gear(all proceeds were donated to charity), Journalism Associate Editor, </p>

<p>Wailisted at U of C and Wash u
Differed ED from Wharton
Rejected from Northwestern</p>

<p>Should I be freaking out that I'll have to settle for a school I dont want to go to? or should I just wait bedcause I also applied to duke, stanford, princeton,vandy,emory and nyu even though I feel like I wouldnt want to go to the last three</p>

<p>As far as I can tell you have only been rejected by one school - Northwestern. And you didnt apply to Vanderbilt, Emory, and NYU because you wouldn’t want to go to them - they are certainly not safeties. Move on son, buck up, these are elite schools and few get their first choices. Be glad you gave yourself so many chances. You have seven elite schools left with four in the Top 10. Round and round and round it goes. Where it stops…</p>
