Rejected from UCLA

rejec ted. pre reqs boooo

Rejected here too

I wasn’t really banking on UCLA, but now that I’ve officially been rejected…it kinda hurts.
first rejection :'(

@emil you didn’t apply to Irvine or etc?

Rejected from comm studies
:(

i knew i would be rejected since comm is impacted. But it still stings, you know? Oh well.

Hoping Cal and USC would accept me :/

What are the chances of being accepted to Berkeley if I was rejected from UCLA? Based on my GPA and ECs, I considered both of them to be high. Best of luck to the rest of you!

high i would say alot of people get rejected from one and get into the other.

UCLA does get the most applications

I’d think >50% but I can’t really say.
it’s the prereqs man and it’s not even your fault.

It’s not. It’s not like UCLA and Cal call each other and decide which one student to admit and the other to deny, it just happens, they look for different things…be positive!

Thanks for the positive feedback, xelink and Yunie!

^
You’re welcome, it’s the least someone could do! But you really should call Admissions tomorrow! >__<;; Although I have to admit that even though two of my Psychology pre-reqs weren’t offered at my CCC, I went to another one, just because I wanted to be safe…

Do UCs state that if prerequisites are not offered at your college, you would not be penalized? It would be rather discouraging if I was rejected due to that.

^
Yeah they do somewhere…but since my major (Psychology) is super impacted, my honors counselors told me that if I could then to go to another nearby CCC to take those classes.

I was rejected :(

I am hurting all over cause it is my first rejection.

GPA: 3.1
Major: Women’s Studies
School: UC -> CC
ECs: internships at CBS, WB Pictures, and at a production co.

I am about to swallow a whole red velvet cake. :(

itzcaroll, add this to our common attributes haha.

hahahaha omg i just had to laugh at
“I am about to swallow a whole red velvet cake.”

i am sooooooo sorry for your rejection though :(

may i suggest the red velvet cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory?

I just ate a huge plate of Mongolian noodles, looked up and saw the email from UCLA, checked the site, saw the rejection, then went back to eating noodles.

On a positive note mongolian noodles are delicious. I’m too scared to look at my probably ucla rejection so I’m waiting till the 30th so I have Berkeley and UCLA to open on one day.

That they are. For $10 you get about 3 meals worth if you use the pea pods properly to build a fortress around your bowl, thereby allowing you to build an even taller tower of noodles and meat. The height on this thing was awe inspiring. Definitely one of the better bowls I’ve ever made.

Right by my work (NASA Ames in Mountain View) theres an all you can eat lunch mongolian place for 7 dollars. I’m a grazer though so all you can eat never really does me any good.
