Rejected from Wharton...........kl2k3jlk2j3l4k2l34kj2l34`

smile friend, what are your 12 other choices?

haha... funness...
Madison, Marquette, Northwestern, Duke, USC, UCLA, Berkeley, Cornell, Brown, Stanford, Harvard, and Michigan

12 applications isn't crazy. Good thing for you that major effort was put forth because now you can rest easy and know you will get in somewhere.

haha great, but now... I mean... think about it.. that cost close to $1,000 for all that. (total of 13 including Penn) But fun stuff... it's exciting hearing about all the different business programs. Brown... which you'd totally think would be all science stuff... has an a great new Corporations, Organizations and Entrepreneurial Ventures major. Cornell has a selective business program for about 100 students each year. I mean, Wharton's amazing and all.. but... all the others are tempting... but clearly acceptance to Harvard or Stanford, or any of these great schools on my list deserve great consideration... to make my final decision, I'm gunna consider cost, prestige, location, and size. I like bigger places, so, that's why Wharton's so great. nice urban campus with a lot of money for us students to use and great internships. (idk.. I'm just rambling again)

SF,

I think you played it perfectly. Rather than continuing to chase a possible pipe dream (Wharton), you went into action to give yourself other options. You may even find that you get excited about one of these choices and wind up turning Wharton down!

I applied to about 12-14 schools too but I regret wasting money on schools I know I would not attend... make sure if you apply to that many, you would be happy attending ANY of them. Make the money well-spent

I applied to four Ivies and Rutgers.

chanman...i just read the first page so i might be repeating some of these things...ur biggest weakness is ur regular class...test scores isay u r pretty good...the suspension and Bs and C are the problems try to improve those the next yr and take the hardest and fullest course load u can...and build ur resume in all way and everyway...no need to worry about test scores

Freshman applicant here...I noticed a lot of comments like "get over Wharton and the mindset that you need it to be successful."

Would it be looked upon favorably if I conveyed that subtly in the app, or would they reject me outright for not being insanely in love with Penn?

Thank you for bringing this thread back up...it's so great to read over the stupid stuff I wrote a year ago.

(laugh at myself).

I did go to another school. And yes, I applied to Wharton again! Decisions are being released right now.

Chanman where did you end up going?

I really wanna go to Wharton like you did/do, but in case I get the boot I'd like to know other good places to apply :D

University of Michigan Ross

Do you like it there?

i think college is boring, so no i dont

but, it's not just michigan. I think college is boring lol.

If not for that comment about college being boring...

Reading this entire thread from start to finish gave me more faith in the world.

chanman, how can you have gone to michigan - ross if you were a freshman?

Plus even if u were a pre-admit student, u were never actually in the school as u only become an official ross bba student as a sophomore.

Sorry if i'm missing some information but no freshmen are officially in michigan - ross.

Yes, that, and I took business courses my 1st year.
Oh, and i entered as a junior (ap credits)

Why is it that I doubt his credibility?

what is it that makes it unbelievable?

And you know what else? 18 credits at michigan, max with a 4.0 both semesters.

Now do you doubt it more, chaotic?

Add that to a 35 ACT i just scored to replace my 32.

chanman- My son said he is more interested in whether or not you get accepted than he is in finding out his OWN (leaving Penn) acceptances! You are a legend!
