Rejecting your other schools...

Okay, this probably is like the dumbest question ever, but I have to ask.
I've already enrolled into my college.
Do I have to go deny all the other ones I've been accepted too, but aren't attending?
Because I tried doing that online, but for some reason, I can only accept online & there's no button that says "No, I will not be attending."

This is covered in another thread. The good book of etiquette says you should definitely & graciously say “thanks, but no thanks” to the schools which accepted you, but which you will not attend.

The acceptance notice should have an accept/decline card. If not, and you’re unable to do it online (first I’ve heard of this), then you should send an e-mail to the admissions office.

If you didn’t get anything to decline, you don’t have to do anything. This is what my mother who has worked in grad school admissions says.

Yeah I didn’t bother declining…too much work

Gee, AstonMartin, maybe when you apply to graduate schools, they’ll think “it’s too much work” for them to tell you if you didn’t get in. Aren’t you glad that your undergrad schools didn’t do that?

There’s no point in telling them. I highly doubt they care unless you’re accepting the spot.

Yeah I didn’t bother declining…too much work. Wow, oh so much work writing a few notes to the schools. Even if you got into ten schools (which I highly doubt) it takes a few quick words and a signature. No wonder people think Americans are lazy.

When you reapply to the same schools for grad admissions it will be too much work for them to look over your application. They may even do you a favor and say no asap.

To the OP: Usually a quick, handwritten note to your admission officer works.
