Reminder: Please Fax Us Application Materials / Updates!

Hi all!

Quick note before the holidays -

If you're sending supplemental material, or updating your application as a deferred student, we prefer you to fax them to us. This isn't to say that you need to send us stuff - however, if you are going to send us stuff, please fax it, as opposed to mail / carrier pigeon / carrier dragon / etc.

I know, faxing is straight 1980s, but we have a terrific system set up whereby if you fax us stuff it automagically converts it to a PDF and puts it into your electronic folder, whereas if you mail us stuff we just have to scan it manually.

Easier for us, easier for your guidance counselor, saves on postage, and so forth.

You should send faxes to 617-687-9184

(don't freak out if you sent it to -8304; that number works too, but the 9184 number is better)

k thanks! enjoy the break everyone!

So I can send in update scores correct?

If you want to send updated standardized test scores, you should send an official score report from the relevant testing organization. But you certainly can update those scores.

Should I fax to update that I’m retaking my subject tests?

How does the material you want to be faxed differ from the midyear report?

Wondering the same as freemovement… if we have new info/awards, should we sit and wait until we have to send the midyear?

I’m not Chris, but you should feel free to send updates in the MYR, or by fax if it’s more convenient for you. You don’t need to send updates right away – you want to get them in by, say, the end of January.

Is the deadline for updating apps as a deferred student Jan 1?

No, which is why I’m saying you should try to get updates in by about the end of January. Earlier is good, though.
