sending stuff

I have to send MIT a fax to notify them that I changed one of the classes on my schedule. Should I add a list of awards that I have won since I submitted the application or is it unnecessary/useless? It's not a huge list with amazing accomplishments... just a couple of regional awards

Also, when is the absolute latest I can send it in to be considered with my app?...

haha for a second there I thought you were ducktape, I was about to ask why in the world would you send in a list of extra awards - you already got in! Haha...I believe the EA deferred blog on mymit said that you could send in anything that might help them in their decision. I guess this would count, right? If you think it would help, send it. Just word it nicely so - even if it is regional - it looks real prestigious.

You should probably send it in right away.

i sent in my stuff 2 weeks ago and they already processed it

for awards and schedule change either email or fax is fine ( they print out the email and then file it)
try to get it in by this week since it is already very close to the end of January

Lol I thought you were ducktape too...

Send ASAP! They may or may not have already started reading!

Oh, lord, they've definitely already started reading -- they started reading in early January.

It's okay to send a supplement while they're still reading. It will be added to your file and read. But if you are going to send something, you need to send it before they begin selection, which will be very soon. If possible, send it today or tomorrow.

what exactly is the e-mail address I would email to? admissions@mit.edu?

And, should I send the text in the body of the message or as an attachment in PDF or DOC form?

That email address would be fine, and not sending attachments is preferable, I think.

You could also fax the supplement.
