I scored in the mid 2100s on the SAT and a 35 on the ACT (pretty much perfect scores except for Math at 32--which dragged me down). Clearly, the ACT is better. A couple of questions---1) I come from the East Coast, and I think it's going to be odd for me NOT to report my SAT, especially since I took SAT IIs. It's going to look obvious that I took the test and chose not to report it Should I just send all the scores in?; 2) It also seems like there is a preference for the SAT at East Coast Schools, and the ACT is not as well liked. 3) Lastly, I know colleges report their SAT/ACT averages publicly. Does turning in my SAT (in addition to my ACT) hurt me b/c it will drag down the school's average test scores---so I'm not as attractive a candidate? I have this "come clean" thing in my head, and I'm inclined to just turn them all in and let the chips fall where they may. But, I'd appreciate any feedback on score reporting to colleges. Am I over thinking this??????

If i were you i would only send the ACT scores. Most colleges say they have no preference and accept both. If you apply to schools that require all testing, college board will send the 2100+ SAT score along with the SAT II results.

Yes, two of the reach schools I will apply to are “all test” schools. I’m thinking I need to bring the SAT up.
