The Cal state app seems to want to have ALL colleges attended listed on the application. BUT, I know that a 1 credit course does not fulfill an A-G requirement. SO when it is entered in and the credit of 1 is put in the Transcript entry (to match the College Transcript) - it comes out showing that it qualifies for 1 year. On the a-g Matching screen, we left it blank - did not manually enter in a-g so that it does not get included in the Cal State GPA. Is this correct? I believe you have to report this class - but there is no way to leave it off the transcript entry. And it bothers me that it shows 1 year. I went in and fixed it to show .33 of a credit (given it was a 1 credit class for the semester), but it still then populated under the A-G matching as a 1-year course. In any event, it seems like keeping it on the CSU app, keeping 1 credit (this matches with the college transcript) and then leaving the a-g matching box empty does the trick - does NOT then get included with the UC/cal state GPA. Is this correct?
If the course is not CSU/UC transferable and is not an a-g course requirement, then the course would not be included in the CSU/UC GPA calculation.
