I posted this a few days ago, but forgot to include my biggest EC...yeah, i know, stupid of me...so, updated chances?

Indian Male, CA, Competitive Public (like #3-4 in CA)

ACADEMICS

SAT: 2310 (M:780 W:800 CR:730 E: 8 lol )
SAT II: 770 MII, 730 USH, 710 Bio (I'm retaking the last two in...oh crap! 1 week!)
ACT: 33 ~ retaking September, trying for 35.

GPA: Eh...not so good here...3.65 ~ish UW.
Toughest courseload possible though... my junior schedule:

AP USH
AP Bio
Spanish 3
Honors Computer Science C++
AP Calculus AB
Honors Physics

APs: So far just AP Euro (5). But I took US, Bio, and Calc. AB this year...we'll see.

School doesn't rank, but I'm pretty sure I'm in the top 10%.

Academic Awards and such:

99th Percentile PSAT: For sure commended, don't think I'll get Semi since my score wasn't high enough (215).

Captain of the La Ca

The SpaceSHIP program looks excellent, but the thing that impressed me the most is the fluoride extracting method thinger. Sounds very scientific! It would be such a boost if you could get it patented...
I think your test scores all look wonderful, although your APs are probably average (at least, for the applicant pool at some of your fav schools). But really, I'm having trouble finding fault with your bio.
also--you should be able to get that act score up pretty easily. Best of luck!

hey, thanks a bunch...

my GPA is basically worrying me the most though...I probably should have studied for more tests instead of playing Counter-Strike...

You are wrong, Indian. CS-noob justice is not something to be taken lightly.

you speak the truth enderkin, without CS, my life would not be complete.

lol, we sound like the epitome of nerds around the world.

Anyway, back on topic, anyone got any chance percentages for me?

Thanks in advance

hate to do this again...makes me look waaay desperate.

bump

UCLA 90% (dont have a 90% chance of getting in, but I know you will, therefore 90%)
Cal 60%
Caltech 10%
MIT 10%
University of Chicago 15%
Stanford 40% (stanford loves students with great Ec's)
Duke 20%
JHU 20%
Columbia 25%
Dartmouth 50%

Some very nice EC's there, the spaceship one looks very nice.

Just out of curiosity, and this might seem stupid, but why do you want to remove fluoride from drinking water?

It's been prove that fluoride aids in lowering tooth decay. Many western countries deliberately add fluoride to the drinking water for this purpose. Is this to mean that in developing countries there is an excess of fluoride and therefore removing it will stop potentially toxic effects.

Anyway good luck. Hope you get into the uni's u want to make.

Assuming a great essay, your chances of getting in to U Chicago are a lot higher than 15%. Current acceptance rate is 38%, and I think your profile is better than average.

you're right about your GPA. here's what i think about the schools i know:

Chicago--50/50. Chicago's admissions process is a mystery, but you seem like a great candidate with your reasearch background.
Stanford--reach.
UCLA--Solid.
CalTech--reach.
MIT--big reach.
Duke--Tends to cap their Asian students, so I'll say it's a reach. (If it's any comfort, you're probably far better qualified than 80% of their population).
Columbia--reach.
Penn--very big reach.

GOOD LUCK!

If this is how your resume is basically styled, the stuff quoted above shouldn't be under extracurriculars, it should be under an awards category. Turn Academic Awards and Such into Awards and Honors. Put the below under your ECs:
