When emailing the interviewer to schedule an interview, what do I include in the email?

Your contact information and possible times that you're available. Good luck and don't be nervous.

I'm an alumni interviewer and this is what is helpful --

Hi. I am applying to the freshman class of XXXXX and I am interested in scheduling an interview with you. I am generally available [every weekday after 5 pm and on Saturday and Sunday afternoons]. I live [explain the part of town], and would be happy to meet you where it is convenient for you. Please let me know when you might be available for an interview in the next few weeks.

Thank you.

[and then give your name and phone #]

who do you email for an interview? the local admissions counselor? or who?

i am wonding this for wake forest primarily.

This completely varies by school. Check the admissions website for the school you're interested in and see what it says. Some schools don't have interviews at all. Others have alumni contact you. It differs greatly depending upon the school.

Generally you don't have to contact them -- they'll contact you. In looking at
WFU, I don't see any mention whatsoever of an interview process.

i got an email from U of Miami that they are interviewing in my area and to rsvp if i would like... is this legit? or what... anyone heard of this

Could be they are having on the spot admissions interviews. Not uncommon. Sit down, they'll review your stuff and grant/deny you admission right there.

please be joking. lol.
