<p>I was just working on my pre-orientation registration. One of the options says:</p>

<p>"Math</p>

<p>Most students are also pre-registered into an appropriate math course for their major in either your first or second semester. You may opt to take a higher level math class however. Students who wish to take a lower level math course to prepare them for Level-1 math also have the option to do so, however the lower level course will not count towards the NU core math requirement. </p>

<p>Please indicate on your registration request if you would like to opt into a different math course."</p>

<p>I'm pre-registered for Calc 1. I took Calc this year, though, and wanted to find out if I could take some other math class instead. There isn't a place to indicate it on the registration request, though, so I guess I'm just looking for some guidance. Thanks for anything.</p>

<p>Did you take Calc AB or BC? If not, then it doesn’t count. So if your major requires you to take calculus- then you have to take it.</p>

<p>If you took calc through dual enrollment with a university, that would also count, too</p>
