Required tests

I’ve gotten SO many conflicting answers from Penn.

I went to the admissions office today and the guy told me SAT1 with writing and two SAT2’s.

Is this right?

We were told at the tour that we could take ACTs to replace SAT2s. Then I read we could take ACTs to replace BOTH SAT1 and SAT2s. The guy at the office today said that only midwestern people take ACTs.

WHAT SHOULD I DO!?

My tutor said that if I can take the ACTs to replace the SATs that I definately should because ACTs are much easier.

And I need to register soon.

Also, could someone tell me how to rush scores?

Fom the 2005-2006 admission instructions:

Results of the SAT I with writing and two SAT II:
Subject Tests or the ACT with writing requested to be
sent directly to Penn. Penn’s school code for SAT scores
is 2926; for ACT scores it is 3732.

Instructions for rushing scores are on the websites of the respective testing companies:

http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/sat/scores.html
http://www.actstudent.org/scores/send/costs.html

Good luck!

That's very vague though.

Does the ACT replace BOTH SATs or just the subject tests?

Should I take all three?

Don't you kids learn to parse sentences in the 5th grade anymore?

Notice the "or" between the two clauses?

You have:

The results of ... (of what?)

the SAT I with writing and two SAT II:Subject Tests

"or"

the ACT with writing

requested to be sent directly to Penn.

Note that this corresponds with what you were told on the tour and by the guy in admissions.

^yep, thts probably right

He didn't have to be a snob about it.

It could have been

the SAT I with writing

"and"

two SAT II: Subject tests OR ACT with writing.
