What does the academy look as far as grades for the summer seminar?
Is a 3.9 good enough?
Or do they look at test scores? If so what is the average ACT score? (we can’t do SAT’s in Utah)

No true. While the ACT is more prevelant, Utah students can and do take the SAT as well.

There's no magic number. SS is competitive. There are a given number of slots, and they take the top (fill-in-the-blank...i think it's like 700?) kids to fill them.

I think the only test they look at is PSAT, but that's extra...it's mostly grades. (IIRC)

A 3.9 is a pretty high GPA, but there are no gaurantees, and I think they look at whatever test you have taken, and I am guessing the average ACT test score (for those who have taken it is about the academy average, which is around 29 and 30 for each area

It is not mostly grades, it is PSAT ands SAT scores.

remember that its also harder to get into SS than apointment. 700 kids compared to over a thousand

and grades are good but SS is where the WCS starts and they start lookin at grades, test scores, and even the leadership etc.
