I know not the best grades for a UC. I'm scared theyre not even good for a CSU =\ I really don't want to go to a CC for two years. But what do u guys think. And oh I took the SAT June 4 I'm just waiting for the results. I think it was pretty easy. I think I'll get around a 1700 or 1800ish. Fingers crossed. Taking the ACT my senior year. And I have some extracurriculars Like link crew and volunteering.

Your GPA seems pretty weak for UCR as well. Getting into UCR became competitive because it is more selective than previous years. It is no longer a referral campus.

Right now, it seems like the only UC school you could get into is UC Merced.

If you really want to get into UCR, make noteworthy of yourself RIGHT NOW. Study for standardized tests and try to get a SAT score over 2000 or an ACT score over 30, or do as much extracurricular activities as you can. That way, it can cover up your GPA and you can be competitive among the applicants.

Oh, also keep in mind that personal statement counts a lot too.

You need to calculate your UC GPA. That is, don’t count freshman year. Don’t count P. E. or the Aide grades.

You’ll need to have a 3.5 or 3.6 GPA for admission to UCR.

Your grades look fine for a CSU, but not for UCR. 3.5 is minimum for UCR nowadays. I had 3.5 GPA and 1800 SAT and was rejected but put on the wait list. Got accepted late from the wait list, so I just barely squeeked by. But I was accepted early into CSUSM and wasn’t even going to have to take any placement tests or anything. I would say apply to UCR as a reach, but also apply to lots of CSU’s, those would be your match and safe schools.
