I have an interview for a college in New York City exactly when it is forcasted for there to be a large snowstorm. I sent an email last night (interview is Saturday) saying I was concerned about transportation.
Is there anything else I should do?
I would call the college and let them know, just to be on the safe side.
Is the interview at the college or with a volunteer alumnus? If the latter, then do not email the college – interview assignments are handled at the local level.
The interview is at the college. @T26E4 I don’t know if I should reschedule preemptively or just wait it out. I’ve been told the SAT test centers on Saturday in my area (at the same time as my interview) are probably cancelling the SAT test that day as well.
I think the storm track is still uncertain enough that you should wait until you’re sure whether or not it will be an issue for NYC. 24 hours notice would be appropriate, if possible - or at least sometime in the business day prior. (Don’t call at 9 to cancel a 10am appointment…)
Call the college Friday morning and ask what they plan. If you live southwest of NYC you may have a problem even if they are open.
The school has not replied to my original email so I will wait and see what the forecast is tomorrow before calling/rescheduling anything. Thanks for the help. @porcupine98 @SeekingPam
I have seen the forecast unless it changes drastically at least call them right before lunch to confirm it is still on.
