Rescind Rate

What is the rescind rate of Umich? getting worried that my AP calc grade my recind my acceptance. I got a 91 first quarter but i dont think ill do that well second quater because of 1 test, but my grades should pick back up third quater

you need to do really poorly to be rescinded...

how poorly is really poorly?

3 C's
1 D
your outta there

You'd probably need to try to get rescinded in order to reach those levels of poor.

How about like straight C's and B's second semester???

Could I drop those kinda grades without getting rescinded?

From what I know, straight Bs are fine. Straight Cs is pushing it.

It's pretty difficult to get your acceptance rescinded.
3C's, a D, or an F and you get a letter asking to explain what happened.
~10% of the people who get this letter get booted.

That being said, it's definitely not worth risking it. Even if you don't lose your acceptance, you can get put on academic probation, which will be on your record for employers and grad schools to see.

heres my schedule and probable grades for my first semester, could you tell me how high of a chance i have at getting rescinded...or even getting the letter

im taking 4 AP's, and i did Varsity football (very time consuming)
also, i had a 3.6 gpa...and got about 2 or 3 B's every semester

AP Calc ab- C
AP Physics- C
AP Psychology- C
AP World History- C
Advanced Marketing- A
spanish 2- B
Communications- A

would i automatically get a letter with these grades immidiately after 1st semester, or will they wait till the end of the year?
and if i do get the letter/warning after 1st semester....will they give me another chance 2nd semester to atleast improve and redeem myself?

You will automatically get the letter. Your chance of getting rescinded if you actually respond to the letter is close to zero, a lot of the people who get rescinded just didn't respond or had stuff like 3 F's with no excuse.

Does UoM just see 1st and 2nd semester grades or full year?

Full year. At the end of your senior year you have to send them your final high school transcript so they see all your grades.

fourth box down:
Office of Undergraduate Admissions: Admitted Student Checklist

why the drop in grades?
if you got admitted to umich, you should be able to handle the course load...
that said, senioritis should not kick in until march.
