Rescinded chance?

I was accepted into UCSC (outright, not off the wait list) for next fall. I SIR'd shortly after I got my rejection from Berkeley and got Stevenson residential college like I wanted.

The first semester of my senior year I ended up with a 3.33uw and 3.83w GPA in my classes.
AP Physics B - C
IB Psychology HL2 - A
IB History of the Americas - B
Sociology - A
Algebra 2 - B
English (regular) - A

Meanwhile I had EC's of mock trial and academic decathlon. The second semester, however, I believe my GPA is going to sit at about 2.5-2.7uw and 3.0-3.14W because of an F in AP physics.

AP Physics B. - F
AP government and politics - B
IB Psychology HL 2 - B
IB History of the Americas - B
Sociology - B
English - B
Teacher's Aid - P
Algebra 2 (online but my school's giving me credit for it, in not done yet). - B or A.

I emailed admissions about my F last Wednesday and they sent me the form I needed to complete on Thursday, which I returned to them by Friday. On it I detailed my reasons for failing Physics. My final grades aren't post yet, but I know what they're going to be because of our online web service grade checker. I wasn't qualified for the class mathematically, as you can see, and I was so busy my second semester with other EC's and senior project that I wasn't able to get a tutor and put the time into physics I needed to. I know it was a stupid decision to forgo physics for EC's, but I thought I could do everything and my EC's were incredibly enjoyable. That said, I excelled in them. I went to state academic decathlon representing my county, I was accepted to and participated in the Stanford undergraduate psychology conference (as a high school senior), I participated in the science fair for my county through my school, I made it to sectionals with my doubles partner on my high school tennis team playing first doubles, and by that time AP/IB tests came around, then I completed 25 hours of work for my senior project (yes I should've done it sooner) and then finals... Plus I was taking 8 classes as if I wasn't busy enough. Point is, I became overburdened; and to make matters worse, my physics teacher had never taught physics before, so he wasn't able to explain the math side of physics to me in the way I really needed... Plus he just thought I was lazy, no matter how hard I tried to explain to him I was I over my head or that I'd do anything to get my grade up. But anyway, the fact I didn't have the tools I needed combined with the fact I loved being able to do some EC's (I was home schooled before my last 2 years of high school so I didn't have any chance to do EC's through my school) meant that I took on more than I could handle and it bit me in the ass. My other teachers were pretty understanding and worked with me and silly busyness. I did my best to detail this whole big long story in the 1000ish characters the form I had to fill out gave me. That said, I was proud of what I ended up submitting to them on the form; I put many hours into it, and I'm relatively skilled at writing, especially when I put some time into it... I say that because I can only deduce when so many with better stats were denied from UCSC and I was accepted that I wrote a very strong personal statement; not to sound arrogant... It's just writing is generally considered by myself and my teachers to be my forte, and I felt like my personal statements were the strength of my application, just based upon generalizing upon past GPA and SAT number, and then the additional factor of knowing standards were 15-20% more rigorous this year, and my stats were borderline for last year.

I sent it to UCSC Friday and they told me I'd hear from someone in 10-14 business days if they had an issue or needed further information, but I'm still on edge about it... How high do y'all think my chances are of being rescinded? I know I screwed up, but hopefully being proactive about this and not having poor grades due to simple laziness might count for something? I know UCSC is generally the most strict about this sort of thing, but it has been my extrapolation that they were most strict because they kept getting massive classes and they needed to find a reason, any reason, to cut down the number of attending students. This year, however, they cut their acceptance rate by a massive margin (15%, 63% last year to 48% this year), so I hope they might not need to be rid of attendees as badly...?

Oh, I forgot to say I was accepted as an undeclared liberal arts major.

We aren’t the people that make the decision nor do we have the numbers so I don’t think anyone can give you an answer. That said, I don’t think the’ll look favorably on the fact that you prioritized EC’s over grades. Maybe a student can’t see a D coming if distracted, but anyone can see an F coming a mile away.

My school doesn’t allow students to take AP Physics without at least pre-calc, so I see why you might have trouble though. Idk :(

Phew, I wasn’t rescinded. They actually sent me the letter that I wasn’t revoked, though they still were concerned about my academic decline, on the same day (postmarked) I submitted the online forms to them :).
