For my fall semester I got a D in goverment but I made that class up in night school. I also got in F in AP Statistics for the fall semester and had to drop the class but the class was not required because I already had all my math credits. The fail would have not dropped my overall GPA for the senior year because I am getting a 4.0 for the spring semester. I told this to the admissions office but they told me that just by getting D's or F's in my senior year in any class even if the class didnt count I would be recisded because they would label it as senioritis. They also said that even if i made up the classes (which i did for gorvenment because that class did count) they would still reject me because according to them its not about the academic part but that I had fallen for senioritis.

My options are to either submit my intent to enroll to either UC Riverside or Cal State LA and hope that they dont rescind me or go to a community college and transfer to a college of my choice from there. Any suggestions?

wow sorry to hear about this..
i almost fell to a D in ap macroeconomics as well, luckily i pull it up

well if u work hard u can get good results at those other universities as well! keep your heads up.. and then if u still wanna come back u can transfer

UCR is not bad at all btw, i would choose it

Did they in fact rescind you??? Wouldn't the F not show up at all on your transcript because you dropped the class? So maybe with only the D and seeing the make up they will still let you in but put you on probation or something? Ask your GC about the F showing up..if it doesn'y call back and talk to someone else....don't give up so quick

locster: when did you find out? I know someone that is failing AP Calc, AP Stat, and gov. and was only worried about bringing their gov. grade up because they had fullfilled their math requirements. Does SDSU require you to submit your transcripts in progress so they can see how you are doing? Do you think they are doing this because the school is overcrowded? Did your senior gpa drop below your overall csu 10-11th gpa? I guess they mean what they say on their conditional admission acceptance letter.

They told me that even if i get a D in P.E. they would still rescind me.

They are harsh!!! My friend got a D in AP Physics her senior year and her admissions wasn't rescinded from UCSB. She had four years of science. Did they notify you by mail or was it on the website?

They sent me a letter. I will try to appeal and see what happens.

Are all CSU the same, I hope not because I'm going to get a D this last semester in Pre-calc. My teacher told me told me that there's no problem because I've met the math requirements(3 years, up to Algebra 2). But then she then said that an F would be a different story.

i dont think its about meeting the requirements.
its about if we start dropping our academic standards and the universities dont like that.
