Rescinded

USC is essentially a school where students pay for their degrees.

La

USC is a joke.

......imo.

To the OP: Sorry about what happened. Perhaps, you can take this as a blessing in disguise though and go to your local community college. From there, you can get into an honors program and transfer to UCB, UCLA, or UCSD in two years. You'd save a lot of money for your rents and you'd end up with the same degree...

Best Wishes, Cardinal :)

P.S. UCSD is an awesome school. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what the hell he is talking about...

go to a cc ...straight ace all those lower divension classes...achieve a "Sexy" GPA...transfer to ucsd/another university...graduate...grad school/job...make money...be happy...realize you saved a crapload of money by transfering in...laugh at everyone still paying off student loans

i was rescinded, because i made some minor mistakes in the application form. although i tried to explain, but those ucsd guys didn't listen and bother to read the letter. they are hurried to kick people out. why ? because over-acceptance ? it is their fault, why we students have to bear. i am sure for the same situation in other uc or colleges i would not be rescinded. that is why i regret very much to choose ucsd over other uc or colleges.

my whole family was shocked and we cried at that moment when informed by ucsd. what i had worked hard in the high school was meaningless. but i can do nothing.

i will go to cc and hope to transfer to ucb/ucla in junior, ucsd will not be in my list, because i don't want to face those inconsiderate, unhelpful and bureacratic ucsd guys again.

what was your minor mistake, if you don't mind me asking.

and how do you know you've been resciended, did you call them?

rescinded for a minor app mistake!?

wow.

yeah, what mistake was it?

"bureacratic ucsd guys"?? i doubt UCLA and UCB will be any smaller of a bureacracy.

by the way, i also made a mistake on the application...i accidentally misreported a B for an A. all i did was write an EMAIL, not a letter, to the admissions officer. it was as easy as that; the admissions officer was basically like "thanks for the email." it was as painless as that

Hm. I said that I'd TA for a chemistry teacher during the final semester, but I dropped it and didn't tell UCSD. I don't think they cared.

Yeah, if you dropped a class and it wasn't a requirement (ie, 4th year of math) I don't think they cared.

i dropped ap econ 2nd trimester, (grades were not the issue)
my senior schedule turned out to be about 5 classes off from my reported

and...
i mightve changed a few courses to fulfill my eng req's. ha

upon my acceptance, i seriously considered sending in another SIR to irvine
