research paper?

okay so basically, we're supposed to choose a "problem" in the world -- have facts, stats, and evidence supporting our "negative" opinion on it, basically a persuasive essay ..

i dont need help on the actual essay but i really have no clue what to do .. i was going to do gene patenting, but i cant find ANY evidence on that at all!

Child soldiers. It writes itself.

The Great Evil that is World of Warcraft.

yeah see i would do that, but my teacher's leaning more towards political/science/environmental issues

human trafficking

The Great Evil that is NetHack.

China's currency pegging.

Global climate change.

Zimbabwe's inflation.

Paradoxes.

o snap...capital punishment..............

internet addiction, especially this site

How about torture as a form of interrogation. Does it violate human rights? Is it justified? That would make an interesting paper. Or you could write about the atrocities in Sudan/ Darfur. Either of those could make for an interesting paper. There is lots of information to be found on each.

whooo i like these ideas .. i'll see whichever one i can find more facts/stats for.

Depending on how biased your teacher has proven/disproven himself to be, I would advise staying away from torture as a form of interroagation, "climate change", or stuff like that

You could write about Pakistani President Musharraf and how his complete "military" takeover is unjust.
