<p>You can but it’s not worth it. The big main benefit of honors is living in south quad year 1 and you wouldn’t be able to do that.</p>
<p>There is no residence requirement for honors so you can be in honors and live wherever you can get into. I agree with maizeandblue21 that South Quad honors housing is better than the honors/learning community route.</p>
<p>I must disagree with the two prior posts. I can see how an honors student might want to live in an MLC. Let’s say for example that this person is interested in community service. Well, there would be advantages to being around like minded people in the community scholars MLC. You hear of ideas for activities, careers, classes. That’s the whole point of the MLC. If I could do it all over again, I’d do honors while living and being in the residential college. You still will interact with honors students in your honors classes and cohort groups and honors get-togethers.</p>
