Im thinking about taking the SAT again as a junior.
I got a 2140 the first time, with a 730 CR, 680 M, 730 W.
The top schools I would be thinking about applying to would be Northwestern, Cornell, UCLA, UCB.
This score is good, but it is unbalanced against my math. So whats your advice? Should I retake, and study hard, and possibly increase to ~2200, or should I focus more on AP tests, pulling straight As, community service and other ECs?
I have not taken the Math subject test yet, but I am planning to after studying. If the colleges saw a higher Math II SAT score, (In the 700s), would that make up for the lack in math? Considering the top schools i would want to apply to, should I try to get my SAT more into their range, or focus on other things?
Thanks for any feedback.

I think an sat speaks more than one ap class. But that’s just me. I definitely think you could improve math, cornell is pretty competitive but your score will suffice but again, the higher your sat score the more competitive you will be. I say retake it

Sure, retake it, most people do. You’ll probably do better as a junior, since you’ll have gained knowledge and skills after a year.

Remember, there is only one best time for AP test which is at the end of the semester. You can always retake SAT in Fall after more practices in Summer.
