I did not plan on retaking the SAT in October; i'm happy with my scores. However some CC posters have pointed out that breaking the 2300 barrier "exponentially increases" one's chances of getting into a college.

Thus, I was wondering if I should retake to break 2300 in a single sitting; or does my 2330 superscore qualify for breaking the 2300 barrier (I've taken the SAT two times).

Superscore- 800M/800W/730CR
Single sittings - 770M/710W/730CR and 800M/800W/690CR

I would say no just because it looks a little like you’re a bit to obsessed with scores if you have done it 3 times. 2 just ends up looking better and you’re 2300 superscored anyways

You have to remember that CC is full of pretentious other high school students who scored high on their SATs and have ridiculous standards. If you scored lower than them, they will tell you that you didn’t score high enough. You would be an idiot to take the SAT again after a 2290. There is no “magical barrier”, just save yourself time and energy and move on.
