Hey, I’m a in state applicant with a 29 ACT and 4.1 W/ 3.8 UW GPA. I recently thought about retaking the ACT in December to try to get a higher score. I’m applying EA and I’m assuming it won’t reach the office of admissions in time for them to reconsider that in a decision before Dec 24. But if I am deferred, would a higher ACT help me later in the admissions process for the final decision in April?
A higher score could absolutely help you if you are deferred. I would personally go for a retake.

Based on this you will be deferred. Retake the Act. Keep in mind. Students with much higher stats are deferred as well. It’s a game. Just played it well.
