Retake ACT in February or my story. [Senior]

I need advice, CC'ers...

I took the ACT December and the results didn't come up as I wanted. It was the last chance to qualify for major scholarships.

30 E, 30 M, 17 R, 25 S. (26 Composite)

Reading kicked my butt. I know this was my last chance. But, are there any benefits of taking the February ACT, assuming that I will get a higher score? Please share your advice (for local scholarships maybe?). I'm a senior.

Since I already know that I won't get any big scholarships with this score from out-of-state schools, I probably will just go to a State school.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, except for the January SAT (which is two weeks sooner). If you seriously think that you can raise your score (and I think that with enough practice, you should be able to raise a 17 if you have a 30 in English), then I would recommend to do it. The opportunity cost is only one Saturday and $41, so why not?

I could, but are those scores can be helpful at all? Assuming that I already got into all of my colleges. Money is an issue for me.

Hey now…
