Retake my SATs?

Hey guys,

I currently have a 2120 on my SATs (M-800, CR/W-660 each) and was wondering if it would be worth retaking in October to try and bump up those CR and writing scores. I want to get into UNC-chapel hill out of state, but i have not been preparing for the SAT for a while. Should i just go into it blind (I lied, I will probably review before i take it) and hope for 700+ on those 2 sections? Or is it not worth the risk of a bad score?

Spend some time preparing for those two sections (using and reviewing official tests) and see where you end up. If it’s 700+, you should retake; if not, it’s probably not worth it.

If you got a 2120 with no prep, you are definitely capable of 2300+.

If you want to retake in October, you should start prepping right now. Do not just take it cold and hope that you might bump up the 660.

Thanks for those who responded.

yeah, I would have to start prepping starting now, I would not have to pay any attention to the math section which is nice.

I guess what I am asking though, is if this current SAT score is capable for admittance to UNC oos?
