Retake?

I am aiming for schools like Stanford, Princeton, Cornell, Washu and others. However, my sat scores are pretty low.

Jan test
CR- 700
M- 740
W- 700
Total- 2140

March test
CR- 630!!!!!
M- 80
W-770
Total- 2200

I dont really know whether or not i should retake. I'm afraid that the 630 will look really bad even though my overall and the other 2 sections increased. Should i retake in october or just stick with my scores? Also, do these schools superscore?

Thanks

YOUR SCORES ARE NOT LOW!!!! geez...this is getting annoying!

arnt they low for those schools?

retake if you know you can improve

Your superscore is 2270. That is a 99 percentile on the big chart, so why are you complaining.

Honestly, I would retake, considering the schools you are applying to. Normally I would say they were fine, but when it comes to the really elite schools every point makes you look that much better.

do these schools superscore? if they do, im leaning towards not retaking

I was going to say retake because of the 630, but then I noticed you got a 700 already, so i(and colleges) would assume you just had an off-day. Like another poster said, your superscore is 2270, which is a great score. Unless you feel like putting in the work, and know for a fact you can get 750+ next time, dont retake or it'll be a waste

i have never gotten a 750 in any practice test for cr. i guess its best to not retake

Wow, these colleges really look at superscores?

i know stanford and washu do. not sure bout the others

Your scores won't keep you out of any of those schools, including Stanford and Princeton.

People overemphasize SATs. They're important, but not determining factors past a certain range.

Retake if you can improve - simple as that.
