Retake?

I'm a junior, and took the ACT for the first time and just got my score:

Eng: 24
Math: 30
Reading: 22
Science: 26

Comp: 26

Unfortunately the school I took it at gave us tiny desks, and only 30 minutes for the reading section when the proctor clearly said 40 as I timed it...

I want to go to UCLA, UCI, USC, Berkeley or SLO.

(My first SAT score was 1840, I plan to retake it soon.)

yeah, retake it for those schools definitely. and go somewhere else for the test lol.

I’d definitely retake it. If you have time before the retake, I highly suggest finding a good tutor and studying with them for a bit. My ACT score went up four points with a tutor, while my SAT score went up 230 points.

yeah tutors are good… people always knock on them like “oh you can just learn all that stuff on your own.” that may be true for some, but my composite increased 8 points (24-32) and i don’t think i could have done that alone.

Edit: However, tutors are not cheap.
