Retaking ACT. Do I have to take the essay part over also?

Okay. So I plan on retaking the ACT in september because I'm not too impressed with my score.

BUT, say I end up liking my essay score. Can I take only the ACT test part and then just keep my essay score? Or do I have to retake the ACT + Writing again?

ACT’s website says that you can send your entire score with writing along with a new score w/o writing to one school. But I emailed one of my choices and they said they won’t accept any scores unless the writing section is attached. So to be safe, take it again. You won’t do worse.

I was wondering the same. I just posted a thread actually
Anybody knows?
Cuz many of my friends who have taken ACT several times only took the writing portion once. I’m a little confused about how it really works.

Yeah, I just posted about it…-_-

haha thanks when i got in here, there was no reply yet
