Revelle 6 unit HUM

Revelle has a 6 unit Humanities course starting in winter quarter for 2 quarters. How do you fit in a 6 unit course into your schedule? 3 courses seems like too few units (14), and 4 courses too many (18).

units aren't always proportional to amount of effort required .... there's a nasty 3-unit lab class (chem 6bl) that takes up more time than the 6-unit hum.

but why don't you sign up for a few 1-unit seminars? or just sign up for four classes and drop one if it gets to be too much. that's the beauty of a flexible scheduling system (unlike my retarded current school, where all class changes after the second week need to be handled in person at the registrar)

lol..hum def takes up a lot of time, but like astrina said, id sign up for four classes..you have three weeks to find out of its too much for you and you can drop a class..and its not like the number of classes you take effects your tuition costs either, so what do you have to lose? its much easier starting with four classes than taking three and wishing you had one more under your belt

when does the winter schedule come online

oct 31.....

I've read other threads on the Revelle HUM requirement and one thing is still not clear to me -- can you take all 5 HUM class equivalents at community colleges, or do you HAVE to take HUM 1 and 2 at UCSD? Thanks.

you don't have to do any at UCSD if you don't want to ...just think of the transfer students -- most of them get rid of the hum requirement before they even get to the school. (smart kids.)

for premed students, since med schools kind of look down upon JC classes, would it still be wise to take JC classes in place of HUM 1-5? or should they just stick through it?

^ (10 chars)

i say stick through 1 & 2. if you find that you're getting torn apart by those classes, then take the rest at a JC
