Review book for Honors Chemistry?

Can anyone recommend a good review book for Honors Chemistry for my younger son?

A little background: Honors Chem is given at my son's school in 10th grade as a weed-out class for AP Chem, which is given in 11th. Most kids who go on to take AP Chem feel that Honors was the harder class (though that might be cause after Honors much of the AP class was review). Unfortunately, I know from my older son's experience that the teacher won't be of much help. Also, my younger son is not terribly stong in math. Bottom line is, he needs a good review book to supplement the textbook and to give him the clear explanations that he won't be getting from the teacher.

Thanks for any suggestions!

In my honors chem class we didn’t even cover half of the stuff we were supposed to cover. However, I need to take the SAT II Chemistry test :S, so I got the Barron’s review book and I’m about half way through it.

It’s very thorough and has yet to completely confuse me (there were a few parts I had to read several times but nothing that I just couldn’t understand). I’m very pleased with it so far.

One thing you need to know about Barron’s though is that their books go a bit overboard. Barron’s unofficial motto is “Over-study so the actual test is easy as cake.”

Also, a little bit off topic, that’s pretty dumb what your school does. That’s like having to take two classes for the benefit of one.
