The next day of my submitting mid year report, my status changed from ready for review to reviewed decision pending.. I try not to look into it.. But I am still curious how long will we get a final result.. I apply as US student (but I'm Chinese), and I actually looked at lots of comments about R-DP from previous years forum.. People got their status updated from one day to three months! Eh!

i’m in the same boat as you, it’s so stressful as well because you don’t know when they’ll give you a final decision… :/

same here. going on 2 weeks now with ‘reviewed - decision pending’. driving me crazy.

mine is still, ready for review? should I upload my midyear report?

submitted everything including mis-year transcipts, and im still at ready for review! Im dying for some sort of change! So frustrating

Do you all apply as US students?

I’m actually fine with waiting, as long as the result turns out to be good! Lol. I can’t help looking into “R-DP” does anyone know whether R-DP is one of the steps from ready for review to final decision?

I’ve read in some places that they review files randomly, and other people say that they do it depending on where you are from… I am canadian but I live in the Dominican Republic so I wonder when I should be expecting my answer.
R-DP is a step, or a status rather than a step, because not everybody goes through each step… some people change directly from “ready for review” to accepted, and some go through R-DP… it all depends on your file i guess

Premedisa, I’m crossing fingers hah! Good luck to all!

D applying from US, American. Had to wait some time for the midyear grades to be completed after McGIll asked for them. Once she uploaded them this week, decision (accepted) came just a couple of days later.

Hi celesteroberts, the next day of I submitted my mid-year report, my status changed from “ready to review” to “reviewed decision pending” and it hasn’t been changed for eight days. Did D submit her mid-year grades on minerva, and after submitting, did her status change to RDP before the final decision?

Thanks!

barcelotina: mine has been that way (changed to reviewed: decision pending) for 10 business day - not including weekends. i keep willing it to budge.

I just submitted my midyear transcript. Within hours, the status was changed to “Reviewed - Decision Pending.” Now I’m just wondering how long it’ll take for them to update again.

Honestly, I’d be fine with a decision either way. Sure, I’d be a little disappointed if I was rejected, but whatever. I have other options and other schools that have accepted me. It’s just the waiting that’s killing me.

I’m kinda upset if status automatically changes to RDP after submitting mid year report… Waiting is totally killing me too! I just had a dream of getting accepted this morning then my excitement woke me up… Just checked the status, nothing’s changed… Disappointed :(

Did you guys upload your midyear transcript even if Mcgill has not asked for them directly? Also does ready for Review actually mean they have not reviewed your application yet?

Ya guys, I as well just submitted my mid-years a day ago. I saw “reviewed- decision pending” and I nearly had a heart attack lol. Waiting is annoying but hey it’s all we can do. I wonder if they do Canadian kids first? I’m a Canadian ( from Montreal) who is currently living in Texas. Has anyone for the college of engineering been accepted yet? (i applied for chem. engineering).

I’ve had the R-DP status since monday this week. Not long, I know, but I looked into it on the help page, this is what it says… “All necessary documents have been received and your application has been reviewed but a decision cannot be made at this time. Most decisions will be made by the decision release deadline posted on our website.” After reading this, I worried that this was McGill’s way of saying, you may be qualified, but we have to see if there are better people to accept first. Do you guys think I am reading too much into it, or is this their form of deferral, even though they are a rolling school?

I am a US student, who just sent my midyears in on monday.

i actually think you’re really right. mcgill is clear that they fill in ‘top down’ and i think i’m on hold for 2 weeks while they see if stronger numbers are available first. another kid from my school already got in.

Hey guys. I think that’s what the meaning means to. Just out of curiosity what are your majors and are you both U.S. students?

I am from the US and I applied to the faculty of arts.
