Revolution Prep?

Does anyone have any information regarding the quality and effectiveness of the Revolution Prep SAT course? I signed up recently, and my first class is today. Personally, it seems like it'll be helpful, as my teacher scored a 2390 on the SAT last year and has been teaching SAT prep for six years. Does anyone have any personal experiences? What about significant improvement in scores? Thanks!

I just had my first class, and I can attest to the quality of the course. It lasted three hours and provided many creative and (seemingly) effective strategies regarding the test. The teacher was great, and his 2390 SAT score shined through his teaching. I am legitimately excited about attending the next class on Thursday. While it all seemed great, I’ll have to wait and see if there are any noticeable changes in my scores (CR - 690, M - 680, W - 690 [10], composite - 2060). I’ll be sure to update the thread in late March when I receive my score report. Hopefully this thread will be helpful to any CC members who are unsure about whether or not to take the course.

my sister said it was pretty ineffective.
she’s very intelligent (got into Barnard) but did badly on the SAT with revolution prep helping her.

Revolution Prep didn’t work at all. Actually my CR went down after reading their strategies. No recommendation.

Maybe your instuctor will be good, but some of their employees are not! The proctor on my child’s mock exam absconded with the exam and is nowhere to be found. Revolution Prep has no idea of his whereabouts, yet has not filed a police report. Those that took another mock 2 weeks earlier had the same thing happen. Where is the quality control Revolution Prep? I would not trust them…
