Right schools for me?

Okay so like a lot of other topics right now, I have no idea really what I should be aiming for... I don't want to go through highschool expecting Harvard and end up at UVA or something (not that I particularly want to go to Harvard or have anything against UVA).

My stats:

GPA: 4.0 (unweighted) , 4.9 (weighted, out of 6.0, last year Val was 5.375) this is likely to go up since I'm taking three APs this year.

SAT: 1820 , M 640, CR 620, W 540 . (or something close to this, don't have individual scores in front of me, but pretty much..) didn't study seriously, no prep pols or anything. I think I can get 2100+.

Rank: top 1% ranked #1 I think

ECs: internship with the democratic national convention.. NHS , beta club (you get in by having good grades), probably goin to join mu alpha theta (math honors society) and swim and track (though I'm not athletic).

Hooks: black female (or I could say I'm half Barbadian half Hungarian, don't know which will look better), my mom is a single black parent, first generation...

Budget without scholarships and financial aid is prolly <15k, I live in nc so instate tuition is super cheap.. Also planning to major in software engineering, computer science or programming or something.

The Val and sal of last years class got into Harvard and MIT (and stanford) with similar stuff to mine (like, not any amazing awards or presidents of too many clubs or anything)

Okay so any feedback would be nice, I am only a sophomore but it's seriously important for me to get my head into a list of goals to reach for and not aim to high and fall short.

If you get over a 2100 I’d say you have a shot at top schools with your URM but right now with an 1820 no.

community college, just kidding… ur good for top schools if u have high SAT

1820 as a sophomore is good. That should come up. Make sure you practice for the PSAT and take it in your Junior year to potentially qualify for National Merit Finalist. There are many 1/2 and full tuition scholarships out there for NMFs.

Thanks for the feedback, and it was 1820 for a freshman  but I tend to get all these misconceptions from my family that I don’t have to work so hard (my sister got into both schools she wanted to go to with a <3.0 weighted gpa out of 6, and my mom got into both her dream colleges with mostly b’s and no extracurriculars) … Hopefully I can get my reading and wiring scores up, that’s what I’m most worried about.
