Does anyone know how the Housing Department choses the students for the RISE program? All I see on the website is that you should put it as your first housing choice, and if you're not chosen, they default to your second choice, and you're on a waiting list. Is there any sort of criteria they look at to choose the students they accept? Is it maybe like other housing and done by the date your application was submitted?
Also, can you apply with a roommate? My son and his high school friend (if both are accepted of course), would both be engineering majors and would want to be in the RISE program.

I think the RISE program is not chosen by your Clemson application date, but by your HOUSING application date.

So you must send in your housing application ASAP for RISE.

I don’t know about the roommate thing.

I would email someone that. My freshman year I know it was by the date you sent in your housing application. The living-learning communities have some flexibility in how they select participants for their programs (housing policy is date you applied to Clemson).
