Should rising juniors be thinking about/visiting perspective colleges yet?

We are taking a few days in Aug to begin to look.

Working at NYU and visiting some places at the end of August

I visited some colleges before junior year. Unfortunately, the motivation to work hard only lasted until november

Heyy, that's not bad aznn3rd.

create a crime empire

...online.

haha yes, what you can't touch, you can't catch.

I'm playing baseball (50 games!! argh.) and random research at the local university.

Rising junior (me)...

I'm a elementary school teacher in a one-room school house in Honduras (yes, teaching in Spanish).

I wonder - when I describe this to colleges, will they:
A. Think I'm lying
B. Think I'm insane
C. Think my parents are insane for letting me do this (I'm 13... and was twelve when I did the same thing last year)
D. Admit me
E. B, C, and D

^^^
You're 13 and a rising junior?! How does that work?

I think that's an AWESOME way to spend your summer. It shows your enthusiasm for foreign languages and it's definitely a unique experience few applicants have. Definitely brag about it! It would make an excellent essay!

I skipped a few grades. And yeah, I'm gonna brag about it. I think adcoms will think my parents and I are insane:)

I'm a senior but this is what I did last year:
early June: family vacation in Italy
late June: community service with JCC
early July: hung out, hosted two events for charity in the Hamptons, along with some friends
late July-mid August: took courses at Columbia
mid August-school: hung out

It was a good mix of having a normal summer and getting my siht done.
I wouldn't recommend to go all out...save that for next summer.

Your gonna want time to relax before junior year, trust me.
