UNC-CH (in-state)

Schools I'd love to apply to: Wellesley, Northwestern, UPenn, Georgetown, etc., but they're way too expensive.

..visited the University of Pittsbugh today and turned in an application so that I could waive the fee, but I'm not sure that I'll turn in the rest of the required forms because I didn't like it that much.

..yeah, there aren't very many schools that offer a print journalism major that aren't ridiculously expensive or would give me some sizeable merit aid.

have you filled out a FAFSA or checked to make sure you dont qual for need based financial aid, leah?

Yeah, but my family makes enough that we wouldn't really qualify for enough aid to seriously pay for a $40,000-a-year education, especially with my sister going to college in a couple years as well. I'm banking on some merit aid (preferably from AU!!), hopefully, or a school in-state.

And, of course, there's always that commune option :)

What about scholarships, leah? You should really apply to Medill @ Northwestern, my cousin attends and she absolutely adores it, haha :) She also got a hefty scholarship, which was suprisingly because NU is supposedly infamous for being stingy with money...

you never know :)

Okay, a rising senior would be a person who WAS A SENIOR IN 05-06.

A RISING JUNIOR would be a person who was a junior in 05-06, and is now GOING TO BE a senior for 06-07.

Asking where rising seniors (now college freshman) are applying simply illustrates how stupid you are, morons.

No need to start any name-calling ustas06, but since we are on the topic...Messing up the definition of RISING senior shows how stupid you are..

RISING JUNIOR is a person who WILL be a junior for the 06-07 school year. A RISING SENIOR is a person who WILL be a senior for the 06-07 school year.

They are "RISING" to the next level; there might be some dispute over who the seniors are...so they use the term RISING SENIOR to indicate that they will be seniors for the next year.
