Congrats both of you! (could you post quick stats, please)

Gpa 93.5’weighted (school does not do unweighted do not sure what it would be, have come up with various calculations so gave up). Five APS, Four dual-enrollment SUNY Classes. 6 years track and cross country,mets, capita in senior year. Jazz band, wind ensemble (saxophone). 200+ volunteer hours local hospital, many other volunteer activities. URM (1/2 hispanic - actually thought he’d get national hispanic recognition scholarship, like he did at Northeastern).

Daughter got her email…checked MyRoc and got 14k.

@jamesjunkers - my stats are in the RD decision thread!

I’m not sure why UR releases its decisions the way it does. If anything, it creates more stress for students. Also, when my son interviewed at the school last summer, the admissions officer talked about priority admissions, which he thought he would do (submit application by December). However, when it was time to fill out a form for the teachers writing his recommendations giving them deadlines, we couldn’t find anything on the Rochester website about a priority deadline. So I called and was told that this year there wouldn’t be any priority admissions and my son took his time submitting his application until mid December. Well, now I hear that some students who submitted applications before December are hearing back from Rochester.

It’s bad enough that these kids have to wait until the end of the month to hear from many of the schools they’ve applied to, but with Rochester, the decisions (only acceptances initially?) are coming in drips and drabs. Not a good system.

For those who received the scholarship emails, when did you get your acceptance letter/email?

Applied before Thanksgiving, still on step 4. This is so frustrating.

My daughter received her acceptance last Monday and merit scholarship today.

Same as @VMT‌. My scholarship was one of their high-school awards that I actually received back in June, but for some reason the amount increased ($7500/year to $16k/year). Obviously not complaining about that one haha

@delsenor‌ Same. It would be nice if they released decisions for those who submitted applications first, especially since they removed priority review.

Case Western gave merit award with admission packet - even for EA. It’s been greatly appreciated and so much easier to evaluate knowing more information.

It would be even nicer if they released all decisions on the same day. :slight_smile:

I was also accepted on Monday and got my merit award today.

@TSocash‌ I was wondering if you could those of us who are still nervously waiting for our decisions when the next round/s of decisions will be released? I come home from school everyday hoping for to see a letter from UofR, so it would really save me some stress and nervous apprehension if I know when to expect it :smile:

No one really knows

@letsgohelpme1‌ he knows. He works for Rochester admissions.

@jamesjunkers‌ did you move to Step 4? My son finally just did today.

@Cameron121‌ I’m still step 3.

@Cameron121, @lavalamp97:
Still on Step 3! :’(

@jamesjunkers‌ @lavalamp97‌ At this point, it probably doesn’t mean much because they have to finish all of them in the next week or so anyway. Maybe you just have lame readers who don’t update the status very often. It shouldn’t be long for anybody now, good luck!
